I will be running the above trip so if you would like to come along please add your entry on this forum to let me know how many will be attending. We will meet as usual at the B & Q Car park at Marsh Mills ready to leave at 0900 hrs. Please only put a message on here if you are definitely coming along. For those who are not too sure why I am asking for this I am only allowed by the BCU rules to take a certain number down a river on my own so have to keep within those parameters although with the assistance of other coaches or experienced paddlers this number obviously may be able to be increased. I am waiting to see what the rain fall is going to be over the next couple of days to make a decision as to which river we will be going on and will update this just after 1800 hrs on Saturday.
    If there are any Scotsmen reading this get your hankies ready as your rugby team is in for a hammering on Saturday………………..I hope!!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

Hi Ken. I would like to come but am conscious that this would be my first intermediate trip and thus need to take advice with regards to the suitability of river and levels for an intermediate novice. Clive and Emu said I should be joining the group in December. Hope to see you Sunday and will monitor forum as suggested, Adam

Well as you will be aware the combination of yesterday and today’s rain has seen some very high levels on all our local rivers. I think there was even a record level recorded for the River Tavy. It is still raining as I am writing this and having also looked at the weather forecast which is still even more heavy rain over night I am afraid that the levels will be well out of the remit for a club paddle tomorrow morning. This means that for the second time in one season I am going to have to call the trip off. Thanks for all your response and hope that we will meet up again shortly. It might be worth having a look at both the country park and Tavistock web cameras. The levels showing at the moment are amazing and for sure they don’t happen like that very often
