    Hi all,

Just an early heads up that I am running an intermediate sea kayak trip on Sunday 14 April. The aim of an intermediate sea kayak trip is to be a bit more demanding than our first Saturday of the month sea kayak trip, both in terms of the level of exposure and distance paddled, although everything is weather dependant.

It’s far too early yet to decide where we will paddle on Sunday but I hope to make it an away day, but not too far away because I’m going out in the evening. I will post again nearer the day (probably on Thursday) with a plan.

Club boats are available for this trip. To book a club boat please contact equipment officer Pete Anderson via equipment@ppca-canoe-club.org.uk or 07958 694434. If you are going to use a club boat you will need to be able to transport it an be able to collect it either on Friday night on before or after the Saturday rec paddle.

    See you on Saturday.

    Hi all,

Well, this isn’t good news. First of all the forecast for Sunday is for force 4 – 5 ESE wind, meaning that it will be hard to find somewhere sheltered to paddle.

Secondly I have done something painful to my back. Some of you will remember that Joy has recently suffered from a back problem but I didn’t realise that it was catching!

The upshot of all this is that this trip is unlikely to go ahead. I will see how things go and will post again on Saturday to confirm but if I were you I would be making other plans.

More sympathy than contagion? Hope better soon.

    Hi all,

My back is still causing me pain so I am going to cancel this trip. Sorry to let you down.
