ParticipantHi all,
Just an early heads up that I am running an intermediate sea kayak trip on Saturday 21 April. At present this is the only trip advertised on the club calendar.
At present it’s far too early to make any decisions as to where we will paddle but I would like to think that it will be away somewhere; after all we have a stunning coastline so staying in the Sound seems like a bit of a waste.
Club boats are available for this trip but you would need to be able to transport them. To book a club boat please contact equipment officer Pete Anderson via equipment@ppca-canoe-club.org.uk or 07958 694434.
I will post later in the week once I have an idea of the forecast etc.

ParticipantHi all,
I’ve made a plan, it’s not very cunning but it is a plan.
We will meet at Crackington Haven car park at 10:00. For those needing help finding Crackington Haven the postcode is EX23 0JG.
Once we launch we will travel east, rock hopping and exploring until lunch in the vicinity of Widmouth Bay. We will then paddle back to Crackington Haven after lunch. The total mileage is just 12 miles but I am expecting to find plenty of rocks to play with.
Due to the early start those wishing to use club boats will need to collect them on Friday evening, either before the open boat session that gets on the water at 18:00, or after the open boat session at approx 20:00. Joy will be at Mount Batten.
It’s my great pleasure to advise you not to forget your sun cream.
Joy and I are thinking about dining in a pub on the way home. You are welcome to join us.

ParticipantGoodie, I will be there. I am happy to drive and car share if anyone wishes, from Elburton. Plenty of room for one more sea kayak and gear.

Colin WildingParticipantAching. Epic. Something quite different. A 1/2 mile portage over seaweed ridden rocks. Suitably tired. Thanks Joy for leading and Clive for arranging. Can’t forget Banjo and Jane’s display of surf acrobatics.
