ParticipantThere is an intermediate sea kayak trip this Saturday, 15 July.
We will launch from Porthpean Beach in St Austell Bay and probably paddle to Mevagissey and back. Meet at Portpean car park at 10:00, bring car park and ice cream money.
Grid ref for the car park is SX030507 and the postcode, according to the visit Cornwall website, is PL25 3RD.
Club boats can be used for this trip and should be booked via equipment officer Pete, equipment@ppca-canoe-club.org.uk or 07958 694434. If you are going to use club boats can we be ready to leave Mount Batten at 09:00. Also can you let me know please because I have no need to go to Mount Batten otherwise.
See you sea kayakers on Saturday

This trip sounds fun but I’m going to ease myself back in with the rec paddle this Saturday. Hope you are well.

missingParticipantHi Clive
I shall be paddling in my 3 piece
Just as well as my roof rack needs new bolts or something. The only grumble I have about this paddle is that in order to get to the beach I have to pass Penrice Hospital which is where I would normally be on a Wed.
As the honesty box has been removed at Porthpean beach, parking is quite expensive and closely monitored. If given half a chance the parking wardens are happy to give one a £100 fine, if there is no ticket in the windscreen or for not paying the correct parking money.Apart from that, it looks like it will be quite a nice day with not too much wind.
See you tomorrow
Jane
