ParticipantHi all
I am down to run the intermediate river trip on Sunday 1 March,
There is rain forecast so with a bit of luck we will be able to run the Tavy from Tavistock to Denham Bridge, we haven’t run this stretch of river yet this season so it will make a change. If there isn’t enough water we will do the Loop. I will post over the weekend to confirm.
Whatever we do we will leave B&Q at 09:00.
With expected water levels a bit higher than of late this probably isn’t a trip for our beginners. As a rule of thumb I would call someone a beginner if they would expect to swim on the Lower Dart. If you are confident that you can negotiate the Lower Dart without having to use your swimming skills then feel free come along, but beware that having an inflated opinion as to your competence can lead to a dented ego. The river will still be there next season.
As a special treat I will bring along some copies of my really rather excellent book that I am inviting you to purchase for the princely sum of £5.
If you want to contact me then email at cliveandjoy01@gmail.com or phone 01752 344425.

InactiveThanks for leading an enjoyable trip on the Tavy today, Clive, and to all the usual suspects for good company — marred only by the (in)accuracy of throwing footballs. Maybe we should all volunteer for the England rugby team…
Am absorbed by your book – it’s very, well, absorbing. A fiver well spent — for anyone who hasn’t shelled out yet, do it quick, before it goes viral.
That’s the end of the season for me — looking forward to seeing everyone on the big blue sea.
Bob
