This is a reminder of very restricted parking at the Mount Batten Centre, whilst we host the Cadet Dinghy Class UK Nationals and Cadet Dinghy Class Worlds sailing regatta between Tuesday, 23rd July until Saturday, 10th August. Young sailors from across the world, with competitors from as far afield as Australia and India, will be competing on the waters of Plymouth Sound National Marine Park – and we anticipate 500 persons at the Centre on certain key dates.
During this period, we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation as we accommodate the needs of this significant event.
To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, please consider the following:
Alternative Parking: We encourage you to use alternative parking options nearby, across the road from the Centre and on road parking on Lawrence road.
Carpooling: If possible, please carpool with other members to reduce the number of vehicles needing parking spaces on the peninsula.
Public Transport: Consider using public transportation options available in our area. The stagecoach number 2 drops off on Lawrence road.
Please also note at peak periods there will be significant pressure on our Pontoon, Café and Changing Rooms, with extended waiting times. If you are an affiliated club member organising club activity, please contact the centre to discuss your specific club’s needs.
Additionally, please note that the Centre will be closed on Saturday, 10th August from 2pm for a private function. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. The centre will reopen on Sunday 11th as normal at 08.00am. As ever, the changing rooms and carpark will still be accessible.
Thank you for your patience and support while we host this amazing event in our City.
