ParticipantEaster Paddle Saturday 31st March Wembury Beach
The Easter paddle will start & finish from Wembury beach. Meet at the beach car park, ready to paddle for 10:30, (09:15) at Mount Batten for club equipment).
It has become a PPCA tradition over the years that paddlers dress in some form of Easter theme. We also have a communal feast of Easter food to share with each other. So please bring along something sweet or savoury. For those that have not been to Wembury before the car park is National Trust with a ยฃ5 fee payable, free to NT members. So please try and car share or even better go with a NT member.
Where we paddle from will still be dependent on the weather/sea conditions on the day (if inclement it will be from MB). Early indications are that it is looking favourable for Wembury. There is also a low spring tide at 13:00 so hopefully the Yealm sandbar will be showing and maybe a lunch stop.
Bring all of your usual safety kit and a hot drink. Also bring a helmet for any rock hopping or surf landings!
Also please post on the forum if you are thinking of coming along. Any questions please phone or email me 07828652775 or terryc1@blueyonder.co.uk
I will post on Friday to confirm details and the venue, see you all on Saturday,
Terry ๐

ParticipantThe good news is the Easter paddle will definitely be going from Wembury.
It will be a chilly but hopefully dry day with a NNW wind but we will find shelter under the cliffs and along the coast. Bring a helmet if you want to rock hop and surf, although the surf forecast is now quite low.
See you all tomorrow at Wembury, I won’t be hanging around at Mount Batten in the morning for long as no one has indicated they require any club equipment.

ParticipantI’ve got some sausage rolls in the oven as I type. I’ll go via Mount Batten to collect my boat. I’ll aim to get there for 9:00. If anyone wants to lift share from there I’m happy to drive or be a passenger. I’ve got quite a skinny roof so can prob only fit two sea boats on it. See you tomorrow!
