Hello all. I know that we are all still in a state of shock following the news about Colin but wanted to give you a quick update.
This morning Adam and I are meeting with Sonia and Dan ( Colin’s son ), to express the clubs condolences on your behalf. We are also discussing Sonia’s wishes for future arrangements, and how the club will be involved to support her with them. This will then become the club’s formal opportunity to celebrate Colin’s life alongside Sonia and her family. We do not yet know the details or timescale for this but will keep you posted as things become clearer.
In the immediate short term, however, as tomorrow ( Sat 3rd ) is the first time that club members will meet since last Sunday I have asked Terry and Gavin ( Coaches / Leaders for the day ), that rather than divide the club into two separate groups as usual for the first Saturday of the month, we stay as one group. This will be an opportunity for the club as a whole to provide mutual support for each other as we try to come to terms with the loss of our friend and Club Leader.
