Beginner’s river trip, Sunday 26 October.

I’m down to run the river trip this Sunday, 26 October.

Given the recent rain, and the relatively dry forecast for the next few days, I would predict a nice little beginner’s trip on the Lower Dart, Holne to Buckfast.

We will meet at the long-term car park adjacent to the Co-op in the Ridgeway, Plympton. what3words gives friend.rear.empire We will meet in time to swap boats around and be ready to leave at 08:30 please.

Those that live closer to the river we will meet in the lay-by opposite Strawberry Fields café. What3words gives sprains.fades.models Meet there at 08:50.

I will post again on Saturday evening to confirm, but if you are intending to come, can you let me know please? Thanks

Hi all,

Well boys and girls, river levels are looking good for a beginner’s trip on the Lower Dart tomorrow as planned. Meet at Plympton ready to leave at 08:30, or at the lay by opposite Strawberry Fields café in Buckfast at 08:50.

The good news is that the clocks go back tonight, so all you lucky people will get an extra hour in bed and still get to meet at 08:30. Aren’t I good to you?

The weather has suddenly turned to autumn. The air temperature is cool and so is the water in the river. Your mum has told me to tell you to dress accordingly.

It would be nice to know who intending to come along. Text (or WhatsApp) is best. I won’t see any replies on facebook. At the moment I know about:
