ParticipantIt’s my pleasure to run the beginners river trip on Sunday 23 November and whilst I know this is a bit early to be posting I thought I would give you some options.
There is not much rain forecast so rivers in general are likely to be a bit low, so I thought I would offer you the choice of either running the Lower Dart (our normal trip) or driving to mid Devon to run the Exe from Bolham to Bickleigh. If we opt for the Exe we will meet at the earlier time of 08:30 and the drive is approx 65 miles each way, if we opt for the Lower Dart we would meet at 09:00.
Can I ask people to post a preference and I will go with the majority.
Open boats. Paddlers with open boat white water experience and who have their own open boats are welcome to join this trip on the understanding that I can only provide safety cover. There will be no open boat coaching and club open boats are not available for this trip.
Any queries please contact me, either at cliveandjoy01@gmail.com or 01752 344425.
Thanks

adminKeymasterHi Clive . I would like to put my vote for the exe trip. It’s good to play on different rivers.
I would also like to bring my open along for the challenge but if I’m the only one doing so then more than happy to kayak instead.Andy

Colin WildingParticipantHi Clive
This will be my second WW trip and I have no real preference as I have only been on the lower Dart. Happy to go with the crowd.

ParticipantNot a huge number of votes but the Exe seems to be the most popular, so the Exe it is. It’s always good to run something new.
Meet at B&Q ready to leave at 08:30 please.
Past experience tell me that the Exe valley can be a little cold, you may like to be aware of this.
