ParticipantHi all
I’m running the beginners river trip this Sunday, 14 Feb.
With a bit of rain in the forecast I am expecting levels to be very pleasant on Sunday. My plan at the moment is to run the Walkham.
I will post again on Sat to confirm, in the mean time (as usual) if you know that you are coming please let me know, either by posting here, e-mail to cliveandjoy01@gmail.com or for those of you that still remember how to use a telephone 01752 344425.
See you on Sunday
Clive A.

ParticipantHi all
The Walkham it is, how very exciting. Either meet ready to leave Plympton B&Q at 09:00 or meet at Denham Bridge at 09:30.
I don’t know if you know but the air temperature has turned wintery and the river water is definitely on the cool side. Make sure you are warm. (That’s your mum talking).
The Walkham is one of our longer river paddles. Whilst we won’t stop for lunch we will get out and look at Slot & Drop and probably the S bend on the Tavy, so there will be opportunity to grab a bite to eat. (Providing you bring such a thing with you).
If you are an open boater who holds an open boat 3 star then you are welcome to bring your plastic bath tub along to this trip on the understanding that I can only provide safety cover.
As its Valentine’s Day I realise that some of you will want to give me tokens of your undying love. Can I ask that you show a little decorum please and form an orderly queue; I find being mobbed so distracting. Thank you.
See you on Sunday
Clive A.

sje69ParticipantI would like to try and paddle the Walkham instead of swimming it this time, if that’s ok sir

AnonymousInactiveI am hoping to be there tomorrow but depends on my alcohol consumption tonight. If I’m not at meeting point at allotted time then please leave as I’ll be laying in my pit..

Adam CoulsonKeymasterThe lurgy has struck and so aching joints, throbbing head and blocked airways will be avoiding cold air and water and stopping in bed for present. The brain is annoyed. Adam
