    Hi all

    I am standing in to run the beginners river trip on Sunday, you lucky people.

    I don’t know where we will go yet, we will have to wait and see how wet (or otherwise) it becomes, I will let you know as soon as I have made up my mind. In the mean time can I ask potential paddlers to either post on here or let me know by e-mail cliveandjoy01@gmail.com or phone, 01752 344425.

    Whatever we do we will leave B&Q at 09:00.

    I know it’s early but I’ve made up my mind, we will paddle the Walkham, mainly because this will involve changing at the bottom of a deep valley that will hopefully be sheltered from the predicted bitterly cold wind. That said I’m not expecting warm balmy conditions, dress accordingly.

    Because of the forecast I am not keen to stop for very long on the way down. We will of course look at slot and drop and probably the S bend on the Tavy, so if you are the type that needs a hot drink these places will offer your best chance. (Unless you can juggle).

    Leave B&Q at 09:00 or meet at Denham Bridge at 09:30.

    If all quiet over night on my standby . Me and Sophie will aim for Denim Bridge .
    Clive please could you bring Sophie’s paddle over. I’ll bring two sets anyway.
