ModeratorI will be running the river trip on the Lower Dart this coming Sunday primarily for the beginners. Unfortunately we have not been able to run a trip for you these past few weeks because of the higher levels but at the moment it is looking more likely that there will be one for you this weekend. If you are intending to come along please leave a note on here to let me know so that I can plan the trip otherwise meet at the Plympton car park near to the Coop Store at 0845 hrs ready to move off at 0900 hrs. If you live nearer to the venue Salmons Leap Cafe Buckfastleigh please meet us up there at 0930 hrs in the car park to the right at the far end. Depending on numbers there is every possibility for a second paddle on the Loop. Will decide at the Plympton meeting point.
Have a good week and see you all on Sunday morning.????

ParticipantHello Ken,
If Brim or Marty are happy for me to ride tandem, I would like to try the Open Boats on Sunday. Thanks.

ParticipantI’m planning to be there, with one or two uni students in tow. I’ll know exactly how many when I get back and we see how many boats we’ve scrounged. Between 2 and 4 I think and some experience.

Looks like it’ll only be one guest and she has some WW experience.

ModeratorAs with the previous few Sundays there is a 4 hour spell of heavier rain around midnight and we can only guess at what the level might be after that. At the moment it is a goer but until we have a look at the levels in the morning and see what the quantities have been over night along with the run off I cannot make a firm decision. I will have a look at the level early and leave a message on here again then. I am thinking anything below 1.00 mm on the level on the Austin Bridge gauge would be ok for beginners. Should be a good level for intermediate paddlers otherwise or a peer paddle. I will post the message on here at about 0730 hrs.
Hopefully see you all in the morning. Bring your poppies if you want as we will have a minutes silence.
