ModeratorAs you can see the trip this Sunday will be for anybody who wishes to paddle white water. They will both be on the Dart and depending who turns up will travel in two separate groups.Clive has kindly agreed to run the beginners group which will be on the Lower Dart and I will run the trip on the Loop. There is rain forecast for the rest of this week but am not too sure what the levels will be like come Sunday so will do a check on Saturday evening and I will post a decision on then at about 1800 hrs. We will all meet at the old B & Q carpark at Marsh Mills ready to leave at 0900 hrs. Clive and I would appreciate an indication of who will be attending and to which paddle you would like to join as I am sure Clive would have an alternative plan should there be no takers for the beginners group. So please let us know if you wish to partake, on here or by phone, text or whatever. The season for what it has been worth is not many weeks from finishing so make the most of what opportunities there are left. ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐
Look forward to seeing you all on Sunday morning
Ken
PS I don’t know all of your pseudonyms on this site so I would appreciate it if you sign off your messages with a name please.
PSS. Contrary to Donald Trumps views Muslims are very welcome on these trips along with all the other religious denominations.February 1, 2017 at 6:49 pm #6384Anonymous
InactiveKen don’t know if you are aware but there are whitewater races on the Dart this weekend.May well be extra car parking problems especially as there is now some water. All things equal I would like to paddle with you if that’s Ok.

ParticipantThe Uni Dart Dash is cancelled as they didn’t sell enough tickets. Nothing on their website but it says that on their FB page. I expect the car parking will still be hectic though.

ModeratorWell here we are again and from my local informants it was a cracking level today and with a little top up this evening should stay pretty reasonable. ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ Certainly good enough for the three groups we are managing to offer this weekend. So will see you all at B&Q in the morning. We will have to try to reduce the number of vehicles we take up to as few as is possible as the parking in the morning is going to be quite difficult what with the WW racing on as well. The racing will probably only affect the Loop Section and we will just have to keep an eye open for the racers as they come down.
