Introductory Courses
Through the summer months there are introductory courses (1*) sessions on
Thursday evenings and some weekends. The sessions run through the basic
kayak handling skills, leading up to the BCU 1 star award and participation
in all our club activities. The emphasis is on having fun as well as
learning, and everyone is encouraged to 'have a go'.
Introductory courses are open to everyone aged from 12 upwards through our
special Introductory
Membership scheme.
We run the courses several times through the year. The Thursday courses
each consist of 5 sessions and are held from 6.00 pm to 8.15 pm. Saturday courses run on two consecutive Saturdays (each all
day) and the Sunday courses follow a similar pattern. For full details of
