Club Sessions

For club members (with 1* award) there are training sessions on Tuesdays every week towards the BCU 2* and 3* star awards. These focus on closed-cockpit kayak skills including Eskimo rolling and rescue skills.

These courses run during the Summer on Tuesday evenings from 6pm (on the water) till 8.15pm (April to September).

The club can also run 4* training sessions, including the 4* Canoeing Safety Test, recognised First Aid courses, and open boating sessions if there is sufficient demand.

High quality coaching is available for all types of water, inland and at sea, and for kayak or open canoe.

For those wanting to learn to roll or improve their recovery strokes in the warm, a short series of pool sessions are organised in winter. These are highly popular with many club members learning to roll in a few short weeks.
