White-water

The rivers

The Loop section of the Dart (grade 3) from Newbridge to Holne Bridge is very popular and provides more continuous white-water. Trips on this section are best targeted at those 'improving' and intermediate paddlers. (Access agreement in place.)

The Upper Dart from Dartmeet to Newbridge (grade 4) provides some of the best white-water in the south west region. At medium and high levels it can become a very serious proposition and paddlers need to be sufficiently experienced and prepared. Note: Access to this section is limited only to those whose access application has been successful. Don't break this agreement or we will lose the access completely!

More information about access to the Dart and the river itself is provided in the The River Dart website.
