Facilities

The Port of Plymouth Canoeing Association (PPCA) is based at the Mount Batten Water Sports Centre, Mount Batten in Plymouth, Devon, on the South-West Coast of England (UK) where it has good access to excellent spots to paddle canoes and kayaks.

In 1998, together with 17 other organisations, the PPCA made a bid for lottery support to convert the former RAF Mount Batten site (across the water from the famous Barbican) into a sailing and water sports centre. The bid was successful, the centre is complete and is now re-named The Mount Batten Centre.

The PPCA is affiliated to The Mount Batten Centre and we rent our club houses to run our activities from. We have two club-houses for canoe and kayak storage, as well as showers and changing facilities. Also at the club house you can find useful documents such as the BCU Year Book, and take a look at the committee meeting minutes.

The centre also provides us the use of bars, meeting and lecture rooms and parking areas.
